A FAIR NEXT CHAPTER
Prepare your phone for sale or trade-in
An online quote does not require erasing your phone. Prepare the transfer first, then remove locks and reset only when it is safe to hand the handset over.
1. Check the exact handset and capacity
Read the model and storage in Settings → About or About phone. Note visible damage, warning messages and actual measured battery health. Use your exact capacity in the quote tool.
2. Back up and verify your important data
Create a backup you control and check that the photos, contacts and files you need are accessible. Plan banking apps, authenticator recovery and SIM/eSIM migration separately; a basic phone transfer may not finish those tasks.
3. Keep the old phone while transfer needs it
Do not erase, sign out or hand over a phone while your unfinished transfer still requires it. For an arranged upgrade, guided help is up to 20 minutes. If more time is needed, keep the old handset and agree later collection.
4. Remove locks and reset before final acceptance
After the transfer is checked, follow the manufacturer’s current instructions to remove accounts and reset the old phone. You enter your own passwords. We do not request them in a quote or email.
5. Agree inspection and delivery
Confirm the time, location, transit arrangements and any return costs before sending or handing over a device. A saved request does not complete a sale.
