Device identification

New quote requests require the phone’s 15-digit IMEI 1; add IMEI 2 if your phone shows one. Dial *#06# or use Settings → About. An IMEI format check catches typing errors only. PhoneFairAU must still match the device and review ownership, lost/stolen status, network compatibility and account locks before any purchase. A valid IMEI or a saved request does not mean those checks have passed.

Our quote service

PhoneFairAU provides phone valuations and manually reviewed quote requests. Contact PhonefairAU@gmail.com. The inspection and return contact address is 2 Heatherdale Rd, Mitcham, Australia. Please arrange any visit or delivery by email first.

A valuation or saved request does not sell your phone, transfer ownership, reserve funds, authorise a payment or create a binding purchase agreement. Device purchases, payments and postage purchasing are not activated on this website. Do not send a phone until we have agreed inspection and shipping arrangements with you in writing.

Prices and inspection

Amounts are in Australian dollars. Each published valuation applies to the selected model, storage, condition, battery band and stated requirements. Published values are manually maintained; dated competitor references are snapshots, not a promise to match every current competitor quote. Prices without a current confirmed update are unavailable after 14 days.

The online valuation reference expires after 30 minutes and a saved request is recorded for review with a seven-day expiry. Neither guarantees that amount will be offered after inspection. We check model, storage, condition, battery, original parts and ownership eligibility. If the phone differs from your description, we will explain any proposed revision. You can accept or decline a revised offer; we will not treat silence as agreement.

Eligible phones

You must own the phone and have the right to sell it. We do not buy network-locked, Activation Lock/iCloud-locked, Google-account-locked, stolen, lost, blacklisted or financed/leased devices that you do not have authority to sell. All account and network locks must already be removed for an online valuation. Never send us your account password or phone passcode.

Automatic prices apply to fully working phones with original parts and no warning messages. Good means light scratches with no dents, cracks or chips. Excellent means pristine with no marks, scratches or dents; prices marked as requiring a box apply only when the complete original box and manual are included. Faults, non-original parts, low battery health or wear without a published matching price require individual assessment, and no amount is invented for them.

Shipping, returns and any later sale

Before accepting a device, we will confirm the inspection location, shipping method, who pays postage in each direction, transit risk and packaging requirements, inspection timing, options if you decline a revised offer, and any proposed payment method and timing. We currently make no free-shipping or payout-speed guarantee. A later sale requires a separate written agreement and the owner's approval to activate purchasing.

Back up your data, transfer any authenticator access and remove personal accounts, SIM cards and personal information before an agreed inspection. Keep your own backup. We will not ask for banking information or identity documents in the quote form.

Your information and rights

We handle requests as described in our privacy notice. Keep the on-screen request reference; this website does not currently send automatic email receipts. Email us for an update, correction or cancellation of an unfulfilled request. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Resale pilot

Our first two planned resale cycles use eBay only. This website has no retail checkout. Private ROI figures are business planning targets, not guaranteed results or an investment offer.
